Dr. Jordi Cisa is an orthopaedic surgeon who has been practicing in Sudbury
for over 30 years. His broad orthopaedic practice included general
orthopaedics, trauma care, and elective hip and knee replacements. Dr. Cisa
received his medical and surgical training in Spain, the United States, and
Canada, and continues to provide orthopaedic care to patients in Sudbury
and Elliot Lake.

For more than 28 years, he has specialised in medico-legal orthopaedics,
providing independent assessments for both defence and plaintiff clients.Dr.
Cisa holds a Diploma in Insurance Medicine and Medicolegal Expertise
(DESS) from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Montreal. He is
internationally certified as an Independent Medical Examiner by the
American Board of Independent Medical Examiners (ABIME) and holds
certification in the Evaluation of Disability and Impairment Rating (CEDIR)
from the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians (now
IAIME/AADEP).

He also holds certification in Impairment and Disability Rating from the
American Board of Forensic Professionals and CAPDA CAT certification from
the Canadian Society of Medical Evaluators. Dr. Cisa is an active member of
both the Canadian Society of Medical Evaluators (CSME) and the Medico-
Legal Society of Toronto (MLST).

In his free time, he enjoys golfing, skiing and playing LEGO with his
grandkids.​
